Dear Members and supporters of OMSA
As you probably already know the city has cut our funding. We will be receiving a $3150 cut in the next 6 months.
Unfortunately this is the start of our busiest time of the year with fall and the holiday events.
We try our best to live on regular membership dues only but this cut doesn’t allow that. Our usual membership dues is $100 for a business. So please, if you haven’t paid your dues yet or if you have can you add an extra little something, would you consider to donate a little.
We know the construction downtown has affected most of the businesses and it’s a terrible time to ask.
We would greatly appreciate your generosity and your understanding during this tough time.

** Reminder: Any donations are tax deductible as we are non profit. Call 785-242-2085.

Ottawa, Kansas is a beautiful town filled with historic architecture, charming community events, and amazing people. At Ottawa Main Street, our goal is to preserve the unique character of the town we call home while helping to promote a positive image of everything Ottawa has to offer.

To do this, we work with the local community including the many businesses, organizations, and volunteers that make up our home to help build a stronger and more active downtown. We want downtown Ottawa to be a place where people gather to make memories, shop, participate in activities, and celebrate everything that makes us great.

At Ottawa Main Street, our goal is to help strengthen our downtown economy through organization, design, promotion, and business enhancement. If you'd like to participate either as a local business, organization, or volunteer, we'd love to have you.

Discover the many incredible community events, on our Calendar page, filled with events that Ottawa has to offer on any given week. Our town might be small but we're always active and there's always something new to do.

Our Vision
We promote a positive image of downtown by preserving our unique historic character, strengthening our district’s retail and economic base, and emphasizing downtown as the center of community activity through a focused program of organization, design, promotion and business enhancement.

What We Do
We collaborate with local businesses, organizations, and volunteers to help keep our downtown a place where people will want to continue to gather and make memories.

Our Approach
Using four volunteer committees trained through the state Main Street Program, we bring together the elements necessary to complete our vision. And, using the proven Kansas Main Street Four Point Approach, each committee uses volunteers to help reach their goals.
